Taiga Building Products — We have a FULL-TIME, PERMANENT opportunity in our Burnaby branch for a Junior Financial Analyst. The Junior Financial Analyst will support the finance group focusing on preparing, and maintaining reports for Treasury, month end procedures, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze various monthly and quarterly performance reports to support senior management decision making
- Prepare schedules for month end processes including inventory, leasing and other claims
- Complete daily cash management and treasury tasks
- Mange internal lumber price lists
- Prepare bi-weekly bank reporting packages and supporting schedules
- Prepare various weekly reports for inventory management.
- Prepare reports and support for audit.
- Processing of capital expenditure forms
- Complete special and ad hoc projects and research as requested by senior management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Potential CPA candidates are preferred
- Undergraduate degree in business, with a focus on finance or accounting
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and highly organized
- Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Sound judgment, excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-motivated and growth-oriented
- Strong team player who can also work well independently
- Experience with Great Plains or Management Reporter is an asset.
- Experience with or knack for software systems implementation is an asset.
- Experience in building products industry or distribution is an asset.
